To Our Advertisers

Our sites are designed for an extremely narrow group of individuals and organizations, primarily wealthy Restricted Stock owners, investors, and their advisors. Also this information will be of interest to the general public. These statistics are primarily geared towards those advertisers who are considering placing ads on our sites.

About the Site

Restricted Stock Information.com delivers unique content in an accessible, modern, and easy to navigate manner. Geared almost exclusively to the affluent owners, officers, senior management, insiders and advisors of publicly traded companies, the site provides a free and unbiased central depository of information related to Restricted Stock sales, gifting, and other transactions of paramount importance to visitors.

Why advertise with Us?

Prequalified Viewers – Better Results for You

The information contained on the site is only of interest to a narrow demographic, commonly referred to as the “super wealthy” (see Demographic Statistics on the adjacent column). Because of the nature of the material, the site seldom attracts the casual web surfer. Instead, your ad will be viewed by those who have the greatest means to pay for what you are offering. Further, by using the information on the site to prequalify viewers, we lower your risk of wasting advertising dollars on those who have little interest in your products or services.

Low Cost Advertising

By developing the RSI site as a reference and resource destination, without all the fancy graphics and high-tech bells and whistles, we are able to pass on the savings to advertisers – you pay less for more.

Maximum Flexibility – Added Value

Unlike single source websites, RSI offers your company the ability to place ads on a number of related “sister” sites, including the Securities and Investment Data Resource Center, and Philanthropy sites. Our rates for bundling ads are highly competitive.

About Restricted Stock

When a company goes through the process of an Initial Public Offering (IPO), and/or senior management, key employees, or “affiliates” of a public company are issued or acquire stock in the underlying company, their stock may be “restricted” from immediate sale. Because of their unique position of possessing knowledge of the underlying company that is not known to the general public there are certain regulations that govern the stock’s liquidation and use. These rules protect public investors from abuse and liquidation practices that may disrupt markets. The RSI site provides details related to these complex transactions.

Who Owns Restricted Stock?

Restricted Stock is stock held by owners, officers, senior management, or other insiders of publicly traded companies. Companies such as Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, Nike, Costco, Starbucks, Google, Apple, General Electric, and JP Morgan, just to name a few, all have shareholders who hold Restricted Stock in their companies. In fact, every public company has owners of Restricted Stock and the overall marketplace is estimated to be in the trillions of dollars.

Site Traffic

Beginning in July 2010, as a new site, we had 238 hits for the month. The site was subsequently redesigned and relaunched in January 2011, which produced a corresponding jump in visits. Since then, the site now averages more than 23,500 hits per month. In July 2011 there were also over 600 unique visitors.

Visit Duration

While the vast majority of visitors (60.4%) spend less than 30 seconds on the site, what we found interesting was that close to 27% of visitors stayed on the site for longer than 5 minutes.  Even more amazing was that many visitors (17.8%) remained on the site for longer than 30 minutes.  This indicates that visitors find our information worthwhile and are willing to explore all aspects of the site. From an advertising standpoint, this allows advertisers to place ads on pages where the ads can be seen by the most people for the longest period of time.

Search Terms

The chart below shows common search terms that viewers use when launching an inquiry on a given search engine (in our study we included only the three major search engines of Google, Bing, and Yahoo). In addition, we show both the actual ranking of our site, followed by the page on the search engine that our site first appears.

The first two bolded references, “Restricted Stock Information” and the simple phrase “Restricted Stock” represent the most common search phrases used by those seeking information on Restricted Stock (used 45.5% of the time). Multiple listings are shown if our site is listed more than once on the first or second results page.

Ad Specifications

Our audience is comprised primarily of Restricted Stock owners, high-net worth investors and their advisors whose time and attention is invaluable. In respect of this we have followed an advertisement configuration that strikes a balance between providing our readers with quick and easy access to comprehensive information on restricted stock as well as informing them of the quality services in which they may be interested that are provided by our advertisers.

Quick Access to Information. We have adopted a “two click rule” so that individuals can arrive at the information they are seeking within two clicks.

Limited Ad Placement. We have chosen to limit the number of ads placed on each page of our website and have placed them where our readers would expect them. Although our readers are interested in the types of services provided by our advertisers, they are primarily searching for information related to the subject of restricted stock. Therefore, our audience appreciates seeing the ads after the first page view.

No Surprises. Our readers don’t like distractions or surprises; therefore, we do not use pop ups, pop unders, scroll overs, etc. to get their attention.

We offer a variety of placements and ad formats.
